Electricity bills are rising every year, but the sun provides free energy every single day. To help ordinary families reduce their monthly power bills, the Government of India launched the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
This government scheme aims to provide up to 300 units of free electricity per month to 1 crore (10 million) households across the country by helping them install rooftop solar panels with generous financial subsidies.
